A
preliminary survey has been done since December 2011. In this early January,
heavy rains occur in Jogjakarta
city and had caused cold-lava and mudflow flood from the Mt. Merapi Volcano in
rivers surrounding the mountain.
The
survey has found a good location to establish restoration plot. A flat land on
top of the Kuning
River will be used. This
area is still relatively remote due to the location. On its right is Adem River,
and on its left is Kuning
River and so human
activities are minimal.
