ABSTRACT
Canonical Correspondence
Analysis (CCA) was conducted in the Buyan-Tamblingan forests areas to describe
plant community’s distribution along environmental gradients. In the Buyan-Tamblingan forest areas, species are significantly distributed mainly along two gradients namely
elevation and slope. Elevation gradients in axes 1 are capable to explain 42.8%
of the total variability of species with correlation values 0.8. Rauvolfia was found at the lowest
altitude, then as the elevation became higher, we can found species such as Ficus, Erythrina, Homalanthus, Panicum, Leucaena and Phyllanthus which was found at the
highest elevation. Furthermore slope gradient in axes 2 capable to explain
19.1% of the total variability of species with correlation values 0.7. As the
slope became steeper, we can found species such as Laportea, Solanum, Lucuma and Eucalyptus
at the most steep area in the sampling sites.
